Buildings that have been ordered to close during the COVID-19 lockdown have an increased risk of the potentially fatal Legionella bacteria forming within pipework.

Hot and cold water systems should, ideally, be used at least once a week to reduce the risk of Legionella bacteria forming, however during this CoVit-19 lockdown, this has not been possible for many businesses closed temporarily.

Public Health England, has said that people in charge of buildings should set up a ‘flushing regime’ or put in place systems to reduce stagnated water forming.

We understand that it may be difficult for businesses and building managers to put in place a flushing regime during the lockdown period, so we are here to help.

We can provide a thorough flush, descale and disinfect of the hot and cold water systems including the sealed systems such as hot water heaters.
